The name Lord Tragos has given his army of highly trained ninjas.  The highest ranking member of the Kurai Kai is Malak, who was brainwashed and trained by Tragos himself.

The Kurai Kai seem to grow in numbers with each episode. By using the dark power from the Book of Mugen Kurai, Tragos and Malak have been able to recruit a huge number of members.

At first, they recruited only thugs and gang members to build a strong regiment of ninjas.  As his ninja force grew, Malak began recruiting engineers, physicists, labourers and those required to construct a high-tech state of the art Temple for his master, Tragos.

The Kurai Kai are very bad news for anyone they encounter.
